New PR!!

The 45lb Macebell is a cruel, cruel friend and personal rival. But today I was able to knuckle under and hit 70reps. My hands are torn and my muscles ache, but another PR tastes very sweet. 100 in a row is a near reality. -Kevin Wikse

New PR with the 45lb Macebell

Ok so here is a breakdown of my current training. Monday-Wednesday-Friday I run a circuit a deadlift, bent one arm row, one arm over head press, bicep curl. I do each one time and move on to the next, I run it 5 times. I am deadlifting in the 400lbs rows around 200lbs overhead press 110-120lbs and one arm curling 70-75lbs now. Tuesdays are my PR days with the Macebell. I swing the 45lb macebell with the laser focus intention of getting better, even if it’s just one swing more, then the week be… Continue

45 swings in a row with th3 45lb Macebell and the stockade!

I thought it would be fitting to anounce that I hit 45 non stop swings with the 45lb macebell today. I then finished out the rest of my 100 rep journy with sets of 20, 20 and 15. Also I found out when rolling with some partners and bjj guys and working on the Stockade hold that swinging the Macebell has made my Stockade holds into a true torture holds and one that could dislocate a shoudler.....becarefull and be nice to your trainer partners.

Slowly but surely

It's coming along. I can now do three sets of 15 with the 10kg. I alternate days between using the 5kg and 10kg. I had hit a plateau for awhile and just couldn't do anything right with either bell. I seem to be getting back on track and I'm now adding in tornados curls. Nobody at my school wants even try these things. Some of the big guys may try with the 5, but, they stay away from the 10. It like it has "PAIN" spelled all over it.
