THE ORIGINAL. THE BEST. THE MACEBELL.

On one of the videos the person is swinging a homemade macebell which was made out of a bowling ball. Now I know that down the road if this macebell training works for me and I am sure it will as I love this type of training I will want to buy a macebell. But for now due to a recent divorce and a shortage of cash anything home made that will work I am interested in.

I hate bowling but I have a 12 pound bowling ball so if anyone can explain to me how to convert this into a macebell for the short term I would appreciate it.

Thank you!

Neal

I made mine based off of this. Perfect if ever dropped it on horse stall/ cattle mats or grass/dirt. But be warned that the ball could split in half if dropped on a hard concrete surface. I used lots of gorilla glue because I already had some (plus I had made the whole a little on the bigger side), but I would definitely have gone with JB weld if I were to do ever do it again, since the gorilla glue got a bit messy.

I had to take a chisel and hammer to crack a hole big enough for the pipe, since the drill bit was not doing very much. Keep checking the size of the hole/crack, after every bash with the hammer and chisel, as going crazy and overdoing it too much may cause a 50/50 hairline split around the bowling ball.

You will quickly learn to respect this thing, and may even become addicted to swinging it. Pavel talks about how kettlebells act like they are live, the gada acts even more so. Watch your grip strength go through the roof!

I made mine with a 1 1/4x6 ft iron pipe and a 15.23lb bowling ball , First I took a 1inch spade bit to the thumb hole going about half way down and after finding out that a 1 inch pipe has a 1 1/4 inch dia I took the threaded end of the pipe and stuck it into the middle of a fire I had going until i was glowing orange , It sizzled part way in so i took a few cracks with a 10 lbs sledge and knocked it the rest of the way in then JB welded the gap around the pipe Ive been using it for 9 months now and its as solid as ever even after a few throws
