Just back from a 5 month trip to Thailand. Once I fix my sleep schedule which I hope will happen by Monday, I will be back in the yard with my mace. While in Thailand I fashioned a fake mace out of a heavy bar, with 2 weight collars attached to one…

When did you starting swinging the Macebell?
September 26, 2008
About Me:
After ordering the Karl Gotch DVD's I firstly got more into trying variations of pushups. Then more and more in the past few months I have wanted a mace, particularly after getting a sledgehammer and a tire, and trying to swing it like a mace, which I think prepared me for actual mace swinging a bit.
What is your favorite aspect of Macebell Strength Training?
Old Timeyness. JUst really enjoy finding out about new excercise techniques and methods I have never heard of. So far I really like the whole package. It feels good to hold, swing, and its versatility as far as presses in different positions goes is also very appealing. It was good enough for Karl Gotch, now I just have to be good enough for it.

New Record

Well, stil lbreathing hard, macing makes it awkward to type I've got to say.

I had been raned out by Vancouver weather the past weekend, so I was ready to go today when it was decent out. One thing I will say is, as soon as I pass my personal best, it feels like I have to go really far past it, because geting up into the 200 rep ranges is almost equally mentally exhausting.

I don't even think… Continue

New Best!

I realized I am posting way too much, and since there is a blog function I better opt for that instead. The thing I like about this community is the ability to share the experience. To come and post personal happenings, and read others accomplishments. It fuels the fire, and inspires me to keep going, and keep pushing. Thanks to Kevin specifically for putting up his videos, and being a member of the community, it is really motivating me to attempt to catch up him, as far off as tha tseems.

Hey Sean, did you know that you can use your Macebell to hit your tire with for a much greater workout than a standard sledgehammer provided you use a good size tire. This and other inovative drills will be out soon on Jake's Macebell dvd.
Look out for it and keep training!!!
