I would say it was my background in hard contruction/concrete/re-bar work I did as a young man. It made my tendons and ligaments very strong especially in my hands and elbows. You will find most construction workers to be very powerful, even moreso than weightlifters or other strength athletes.

Training isn't as good as it should be, until I have my knee operated on. Hopefully by the end of July, I will be up and running, and be able to train 100%
How bout you?

Great to see that Long Island, is represented well here. Maybe, we should start a L.I chapter.

Hey Michael, to answer your question they have positively replaced BBing for me. I am definitely getting stronger and as far as the tight feeling you wrote about I would have to use the word deep because the Mace/KBs have allowed me to get my flexibilty back while getting stronger, thicker and more agile.I get a feeling of thivkness rather than tight. I hope I was able to answer your question without rambling on lol.

I like the club for certain swings, I use the club for hammer swings and swings from bewteen the legs and over head smashes. I also like to swing the club up from between my legs and once it breaks my chest level stop it in mid air with the grip and arms, usually for a second at a time. But primarily I learned and use it as a leverage tool.

you don't like the clubs for swings, cleans, and snatches,or are you just changing it up ?

I would think you can, and I certainly do. I have learned that you certainly can do too much. For me, I am focusing in on certain goals so I am not touching the clubbell right now, but I use the clubbell as a leverage tool and not so much for swinging. Usually I do Kettlebells and body weight Monday and Thursday, Clubbell and body weight Tuesday and Friday and Macebell and body weight Wednesday and Saturday. I do extermely heavy and very low rep(1-5) lifts and presses and high number of swings, like with the macebell and kettlebells. I try to keep it under and hour and hit it as hard as I can.

Thanks for the question. I would say my background began when I was a teenager working in swimming pool contruction with my dad. I worked everday with heavy concrete, plaster, rebar, heavy hammers, a concrete jitterbug which is very difficult to use and builds tremendous handstrength, heavy cement bags, wheelbarrows full of concrete or plaster, etc. I found a book about the Mighty Atom in a garage sale, and then I started bending and eventually ripping. I would say that working pool construction made me stronger by accident than most people get purposefully. Today, all my co-workers who still work for my dad are in their 40s and still extremely powerful in their hands.
